Clayton Ray Echard (born April 29, 1993) is an American television personality best known for his appearances as a contestant on season 18 of The Bachelorette, and as the star of season 26 of The Bachelor.[2] He played college football for Missouri and spent training camp with the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL) in 2016.

After finishing my duties as the lead on Season 26 of ABC's The Bachelor, I have pivoted my career path from the medical device sales industry into the physical and mental wellness spaces. This realignment, along with the large social media platform I am humbled to now hold, have allowed me to chase my passion of making a much larger impact in the lives of others through mental health speaking. By openly sharing my struggles with anxiety, depression, body dysmorphia, toxic masculinity, self-confidence, cyberbullying, comparison culture and many other issues that plague our society today, I hope to encourage others to feel confident enough to do the same. For when it comes to the pain we feel, the answer is to address it, not suppress it!
While on this new journey, I have also begun writing a book centered around mental health. The book will go into greater detail on each of the aforementioned topics and also will highlight the many realizations I have come to today that have allowed me to let go of much of the stress in my life. Certain stressors like perceived public image and the misconceptions that society may often associate as indicators of success and happiness (ie status and money). As I have learned through observation and personal experience, the two can do more harm initially, before they create a net positive outcome. The difference-maker in it all though is how an individual perceives it, which I cover intensively. By sharing my message of how exposing my weaknesses and insecurities for all of the world to see led to my most substantial personal growth ever, I hope that others will come to the same realization that I did. The realization of how rewriting their own narrative is a tangible possibility, so as long as they first possess the self-confidence and resiliency to do so.
So, if you or someone you know is looking for a mental health advocate to come speak at their school, university or next corporate event, I would be elated if you were to consider me! For any inquiries, please send an email to claytonechard@gmail.com . I would love to be able to help destigmatize the topics centered around mental health that many of your students, employees or peers are surely facing, but are too afraid to publicly divulge for fear of judgment by others.
